A serious point here guys: OpenIndiana likely CAN'T change its name. The amount of time involved and manpower would cripple a project already quite short on manpower. So while you may argue about the color of the shed, we don't have the money to repaint it.
I could be wrong if many people want to ALL step up and edit all the wikis, fix the code, deal with the SEO needed, and actually help the project go forward! As far as Hermes: The god of thieves? Is that the note you want to strike with people? (Trust me on that, I named an internal project Hermes, and I get that comment all the time.) As far as Illumian: I could care less if they call it "Fred." Time to code! -Ira On Mon, Nov 28, 2011 at 8:06 AM, Apostolos Syropoulos <[email protected] > wrote: > >- AFAICT, this word is already in wide use in computing > >- IIRC, someone actually checked in more detail a while ago and found > > > that there were/would be copyright issues. > Copyright issues with the name of a star?
