I am trying to get a handle on how KVM will be managed with all the distributions.
I understand that illumos is the base distro (ON) and others will be built on it. It seems that smartos gets the most frequent updates of KVM, which definitely makes sense since it really is designed to be a thin hypervisor OS and this process is managed by Joyent the company that did the initial port. I saw on the illumos IRC channel that nahamu was trying to get spice into smartos (http://echelog.matzon.dk/logs/browse/illumos/1326150000), which would be great. Do their updates get pushed upstream somewhere? Is there an upstream?
