I guess I'll try posting this question one more time in hopes that
someone might offer a suggestion. Continuing to use a dual-core system
with only one core active is out of the question. If I can't trust
OpenIndiana or get any support from the community, I'll simply go back
to running Solaris 10 or try out FreeBSD on my home NAS.

Greetings -
I've been running oi_151a smoothly for several months on physical
hardware...
Supermicro H8SSL-I2
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
8 GB ECC memory
Supermicro 8 Port SATA 2 Card (PCI/PCI-X) AOC-SAT2-MV8
8 x 2TB SATA on the 8-port card, 2 x 512GB SATA on the mainboard, 1 x
60GB SSD as root drive.
I ran this hardware under Solaris 10 for years, and now OpenIndiana
for several months and never had this issue. It cropped up as I tried
to get jumbo frames working on the integrated Broadcom GigE ports... I
couldn't get that to work (guessing the stock driver won't cut it),
put everything back as it was, but still no luck getting rid of this.

I added the eeprom directive, and rebooted.
root@toybox:~ # eeprom boot-ncpus=2
root@toybox:~ # init 6
updating //platform/i86pc/boot_archive
updating //platform/i86pc/amd64/boot_archive
Note that now, only 2 cpus are detected, but still only 1 core is enabled:

Please see all the CPU info I could find below.
Any suggestions would be most welcome...
