Guys -
I'm embarrassed to even offer these antiques, but I want to be rid of them:
V240, 2 CPU, 4GB memory
Netra 20 (110VAC, 60Hz), 2 CPU, 4 GB memory
SunBlade 1000, 0 CPU (takes Netra 20 CPUs above), frame buffer, new 19"
CRT, etc
V120, 1 CPU, 2 disk, 2 GB memory
2 x V100 s, 1 CPU, 2 disk, 1GB memory
2 x Netra X1 (who knows?)
They are at my house outside Chicago and I cannot afford to pack/ship
them. If interested, I could drive them to some location in Chicago or
burbs, so let me know. Otherwise, they are headed to the electronics
dumpster in the sky (where they most likely belong anyway).
Best Regards,
Mike

Had you paid that price in life, you or any other reasonable person
would react the same way, in such a situation.
Imagine you built a house, stone by stone, w/o having any time for
making a living because of it.
And 1 day before you intend to celebrate the key-exchange, the ones
that you were building it for say, the want a swimming pool and the
house is in their way.
You stay relaxed?
Sure dude, we understand, and I just want to let you know that you
deserve some serious kudos for the terrific work you're doing here. As I
said earlier, ISOs would be very welcome so that we can get the SPARC
build environment for Illumos up and running. The real show stopper for
me was, as you describe, the lack of an installable ISO - I lack the
skill and time to assemble a distro by hand. With your work we can get
this stuff done in a few days, I hope.
The problem is only? Why pays the electricity bills and the bandwith?
I'll see what I can do about that. I believe with your distro and
Volker's help we can have one or two independent build sites
bootstrapped in relatively short order.
How do I suddenly get all these SAS cards from?
Well, those are LSISAS-3080X-HP(!) that you can flash FCodes in.
After a hack to /etc/driver_aliases they attach also, after the FW
flash. And they support 8 internal (can wire them out 1 meter) SATA
disks of up to 2TB (or larger, but then truncated to 2047GB).
Nowadays one gets them for 5$ per unit!
Pretty cool. Cheap hardware FTW!
Also can donate SB1500 Red, SB2500 Red.
I'll see what my contact says about hosting - I'm working on something.
Cheers,
