FYI.  I had no plans to remove expresscard.  You are right that it remains the 
best high end expansion option for laptops.  Though I see USB and thunderbolt 
supplanting it. 

I think we can say that PCMCIA at this point is fully dead. I will proceed with 
the eof. 

Illumos is not versioned with releases.  That is handled by distros at present. 
 This is something I'd like to see us change but which we never got around to.  
Still can though.
