I need it during installation of LightDM package, that will create the
lightdm user and run login manager
with that user. That user also need to have shutdown authorization.
I don't think it's nice to have an svc for this....
Take a look at zfs-auto-snapshot package (i.e. the original scripts)
as an inspirational example? Possibly the modern time-slider also
has the same logic - to deliver indeed an SMF service to create the
user account with privileges to create/delete snapshots. You might
want to create a self-destructing or at least a self-disabling SMF
service, which would no longer run after a successful initialization.
But regarding your with for no-service approach, this is not exactly
a solution you seek... so I'd be interested to know alternatives too ;)
