There is a fundamental difference in that all links in the aggregation share
the same MAC address. DLMP is more like the (ancient) Network Adapter Failover 
(NAFO)
where each link retains its own, unique MAC address.

Yes, it is kinda funny that NAFO was crushed because it didn't do aggregation, 
but
now that aggregation is determined to be sucky in some situations, NAFO is 
reborn
as DLMP and it is suddenly cool again. What's old is new again :-)
