Hi Michael,

Yes, I did export but "zpool import -f pool14a" still fails with: cannot
import 'pool14a': invalid vdev cofiguration

What did seem to work, finally, was:

1. Export and physically disconnect all other pools/disks except for rpool and
the problem disk

2. Boot and import the pool. This worked, presumably because this avoided
another disk at the same controller position causing confusion

3. Then reconnect all other disks and re-import

It does seem the import logic can get confused in a case like this where a disk
moves if there's a different disk at the same old controller position with a
different label. But my issue is now fixed.

Hugh.
