I'm currently working on updating the emlxs driver for the LPe35000 Emulex HBA's. These use XE601 chips and a new interface version 6. At the moment I have 2 problems: * With the driver attach, last the link is set down and initialized with the topology PT-PT and the link speed auto. emlxs: [ID 702911 kern.notice] [ 5.072F]emlxs0: NOTICE: 730: Link reset. After that the link will not come online. luxadm -e online, luxadm -e forcelip don't help either. The link only comes online if the switch port is disabled and enabled.
* After a few IOs, the packet timeout check finds a stuck packet in channel 0 and resets the adapter. emlxs: [ID 349649 kern.info] [ 1.0494]emlxs0: DEBUG: 910: Packet timeout. (chipQ: 1:Aborting. sbp=fffffe58d90ac0d8 iotag=5006 tmo=10 flags=80000104) Does anyone have an idea how to solve these problems? It is possible to get documentation for the SLI4 IF6 or the XE601 chips? Related to the driver for BSD or Linux, currently we have no implementation of the tuning of the EQ delay parameter. But this is not new for IF6 and comments about this seems to be perfermnce related.
