CPU temperature for the processor family should be handled through a combination of the coretemp(4D) (https://illumos.org/man/4D/coretemp) and possibly the pchtemp(4D) driver (https://illumos.org/man/4D/pchtemp), though the latter depends on the specifics of the processor and with some of the changes there the pchtemp(4D) driver is no longer used. The resulting temperature are exposed in FMA's system topology.
