Yes, that is correct. The Y2038 fix means change in on disk format (besides 
in-memory changes). Also we do not support sector sizes other than 512B. Those 
changes basically mean major version change and that is considerable amount of 
work to be done. Which we do not need to do because we already have zfs which 
does not have those limits.
