Adaptive Path is looking for an experience designer, particularly one
with a passion for interaction design. And we're willing to consider
candidates who are new to the field yet demonstrate great potential
and aptitude for the work, particularly if they are bringing with
them valuable skills from other related fields (visual design,
industrial design, technology, anthropology, business, psychology,
etc.).

This position is at the Adaptive Path World Headquarters (tm) in San
Francisco, but we do consulting work and events all over the world.

Our consulting work enables us to fundamentally affect how firms,
ranging from Fortune 100 to bleeding-edge startups, engage their
customers with multi-channel experiences, including web, mobile,
software, devices, and more. Our public events provide opportunities
for teaching, directly imparting skills and concepts. Our blog,
essays, and reports allow us to spread the word far and wide, because
we believe that by sharing what we know, we make the world a better
place for everyone.

We're looking for people who mix the left-brain and right-brain. Who
can break it down analytically and can craft an inspiring vision. Who
love (or at least appreciate) user research, and drawing valuable
insights from what's observed. Who appreciate strategy as well as

But what we're especially looking is for people who make. People who
write scenarios, sketch storyboards, draw wireframes, and build
prototypes. People with an urge to create things that will delight
and empower others. Skills in sketching, illustration, visual design,
coding (especially Flash), physical computing, modeling, industrial
design, etc. are all appreciated. We like people who can think big
but get their hands dirty too.

At Adaptive Path, we promote a live/work balance including five weeks
of vacation per year.

Please email experiencedesigner AT adaptivepath DOT com if you are
interested in this position with a resume (pdf), pointer to an online
portfolio, and thoughts on working with us. If you send it to me
directly, we will know you aren't detailed-oriented. :)
