Title: Interaction Designer / Senior Interaction Designer Location: Los Angeles Compensation: Low 100's + bonus + stock
A leading Internet company is searching for an Interaction Designer or Senior Interaction Designer to work on one of the newest components of its site. Working closely with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product cycle, the Interaction Designer will help define the user experience and drive the design process for new products and features. This role offers a chance to work at a well-known company that's rapidly expanding into exciting new areas, and to have an impact on the experience of millions of Web users. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Interaction Designer with strong visual-design sensibilities who is eager to work on Web 2.0 projects. Responsibilities include: * Helping to define the user model and user interface for new and existing company products and features * Developing high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas * Assessing usability of new and existing products, and making constructive suggestions for change Requirements: * A proven track record of designing usable Web-based interfaces * Expert HTML skills and a strong technical background * Excellent knowledge of JavaScript for rapid prototyping * Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills * A critical thinker with a good, strong design sense and an eye for making things better * A solid academic background in human-computer interaction (HCI) or related field (BS or MS in Computer Science or related field a big plus) If you feel you're qualified for this position, please email me a cover letter and Word doc or PDF version of your resume and link to your portfolio.
