After a wildly successful beta trial of our product, we are opening up direct sales to consumers over our Web site. We are seeking a passionate, innovative User Interface Designer with a track-record of academic and professional achievement, who will spearhead the design of our high-traffic Web site. As Lead UI Designer, you will design and deploy online features that work with the ooma service, will work to facilitate e-commerce transactions and develop features to drive conversion, build community, and support customers online. We require strong visual design skills, exceptional focus on details, a proven understanding of usability and best practices, and experience with current front-end technologies. You must have a proven track record in designing successful consumer web applications and Web sites. This person reports to the Director of Online UED and Development. What you will have fun doing: * Work with the Online and Product teams to conceptualize, design, and deploy innovative Web features and brand-centric user interfaces for ooma.com * Champion uniform branding and design standards across all projects and channels * Translate product requirements into innovative consumer-friendly designs * Lead the design lifecycle, utilizing the following tools: site maps, page flows, wireframes, prototypes, and full screen comps * Design prototypes for user-testing and regularly update web design features based on user feedback * Create user interface and user interaction specifications and work closely with engineers and internal constituents to implement on-brand designs * Assist in product design across multiple channels for uniform branding and messaging We want to talk to you if you have: * 5 years experience in user interface and user interaction design * Strong portfolio of user interface design projects * Keen eye for typography, color, and layout. * Proven track record of translating business requirements into functional, innovative Web designs and applications * Experience working in cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and engineering * Demonstrated ability to take initiative to create a best-in-class user experience * A degree in visual design (but we value hands-on experience just as much) * Demonstrated experience with Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready, Illustrator, and Visio If you enjoy working hard and having fun while doing so, are passionate about Web technology and innovation, and can make a very visible contribution in an exciting start up environment, then we should talk.
