Position: User Experience Researcher - 201930

Duration: Full Time

Are you interested in making Windows a world class experience for end users? If
so, the Windows & Windows Live UX Research group needs you! Our mission is to
think end-to-end about the Windows & Windows Live user experience both broadly
and deeply. Giving end users a Windows experience without problems isn't good
enough; we want the experience to be an immersive, pleasurable experience that
is appropriate for each and every customer. To drive this requires us to take a
holistic approach to the end-to-end experience. We need to know our users
inside out, by understanding their perceptions, desires, needs, frustrations,
environments, and problems related to the Windows PC & services experience and
beyond. We work as equal members of the Windows team and we partner with OEMs,
IHVs, and ISVs; essentially anyone who makes decisions about the user
experience is our potential partner. We are looking for someone to join the
team who has passion around holding user experience decision makers accountable
to users, prioritized through understanding users and the Windows business
strategy.

The ideal candidate will be excited at the prospect of finding creative ways to
evangelize the rich research data we have to both internal and external
audiences and drive the results of those communications into the final PC
experience. It is also highly desirable for the candidate to be able to assess
user experience opportunities from the results of UX Research and be able to
follow up in taking action to convert into impact, and also be able to identify
new opportunities from understanding Windows strategy for driving further user
research where impact can be achieved. The candidate must have exceptional
communication skills, both oral and written.

If interested please submit resumes (link to portfolio or work samples attached
