Callie, DC has a rich and active design community. You can sign up to DC-IA (www.dc-ia.com), an informal announce-only mailing list for events and jobs in the DC/Baltimore area. UPA's DC chapter is also extremely active and puts on regular events.
There's plenty of work in Washington, and it's ideally located for gigs all up and down the East Coast. You can even avoid the government sector, if that's not your cup of tea. (I've had some of that tea, and I'm happy to have switched to coffee, if you know what I mean.) You'll be well-situated to attend Interaction08, about a day's drive from the DC area and there are a handful of direct flights to Savannah from Dulles Airport. I could (as you can see) go on and on, but if you have any more specific questions, please feel free to drop me a line off-list... -- Dan On 12/8/07, Callie Neylan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Good morning. > > I'm new to this list, having just signed up last week.
