Dear All,

As a Communication/Interaction Designer, I wish to be the "eagle eye" and
extend my knowledge on " the great user centered design adventure & user
experience design on giants'
product or services based companies" which employs cutting edge technology
to foster unique thoughts and concepts traversing beyond mundane targets to
achieve Utopian heights.

Organizations which better their best and are heralded as destinations
rather than catalysts of design showcasing. I would request your assistance
in enabling me to access and research upon a directory or resource of such
unparalleled organizations/companies. I've been visiting a couple of very
peopular sites like HCIbib.org wherein lot of resource links are given but
again that doesn't list big companies worldwide from all the industry types
and primarily companies wherein UCD is not just a "cost center".

I wish to explore their working, development strategies and intentions
vis-à-vis the progress. In a way to know the priorities to be addressed and
rationalize their objectives accordingly.

>From my own practical experience, I had a fortunate chance to learn UCD
process followed in a giant company in Europe which is into manufacturing of
electrical and mechanical products of refrigeration mechanics. They own IPR
on their process and I'm sure any such companies wherein designers are not
just confined to their seats but they go out and do user
studies/ethnographic research and explore the entire arena in a defined
process.

Is there any literature/research material/online resource for a list of
companies/organizations worldwide? I wouldn't mind paying for any such
material if that's worth it.
