Hi I’d appreciate pointers to websites that do a good job of presenting basic info about a disease and esp. what you can do about it (prevention/detection).
I’d especially like to see sites that don’t rely so heavily on text to get across prevention tips, screening tests, symptoms to watch for, for someone who just found out they’re at risk for a condition. Looking for sites for regular people (not healthcare professionals). I’ve checked the archives but don’t find anything good. I’ve found some nice examples of showing public health statistics, but nothing very creative in conveying here’s a disease, here’s steps you can take (without huge reams of text).
