A little while back there was some discussion about various methods,
tools, media, and phases for ixd prototyping. Great stuff! So I
recently compiled my own thoughts about this into a short poster
(PDF), for myself as a self-explanatory tool, and also for our
internal Cisco UX evangelism efforts, to try to shape a compact
framework around the "art of prototyping" if you will :-) which of
course is a really a journey from abstraction towards reality, with
some twists along the way...

PDF is here:
http://udanium.com/proto_spectrum_v1.pdf

It centers on three central phases: Play, Propose, and Specify, with
an eye towards what I have called "proto-specs" or "prototype as
spec", serving as a record of truth for developers.

Hope the ixda community finds this useful.
Thanks,
