This position is responsible for developing and executing design solutions for a variety of project types, including interactive applications, product UIs, and complex websites. Candidates will be able to think in terms of end-to-end UI design, apply strategic thinking and business goals to design work, focus on usability and understand aesthetic values. Candidates will work hands-on and will be responsible for delivering all aspects of interaction design from concept to implementation. You should have extensive experience working in collaborative environments, integrating user-centered design, technology, and traditional research methods. You should enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and innovating. *Job Description:* - Produce great design work that shines with simplicity despite complexity of the system. - Illustrate experience in conceptual development and creative prototypes as well as tactical UI design and implementation - Strong communications skills and ability to build working relations across all levels of an organization to create final interface features - Hold direct responsibility for creating the user interface of key customer experiences and projects, concentrating on end-to-end scenarios and top user tasks - Be capable of independent design process, project, and schedule management - Compare and contrast various design solutions, taking technical, resource, and time constraints into account - Prioritize among competing assignments, features, user tasks and needs - Be a creative problem-solver and an effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator *Requirements (Education/Experience):* - Minimum of 2-5 years professional experience designing and developing interactive media and user interfaces for product software and web applications. - Solid, presentable portfolio of work in interaction design across multiple projects and product types - Ability to interpret user research, including contextual inquiry and usability testing and translate it into design solutions - Writing and presentation skills - Creative excellence and a strong desire to innovate with graphic design, illustration, and computer graphics techniques to generate layouts, build prototypes, and product graphics assets for software applications. - Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively - Strong knowledge base of engineering technology balanced with artistic sensibility. - Demonstrated ability to work with clients, communicate persuasively, and resolve issues - Experience working in small collaborative teams - Demonstrated application of user-centered design methodologies with a focus on user interface design and defining the user experience * * *To Apply:* Forward your resume and portfolio along with a cover letter to [EMAIL PROTECTED] *About RDVO:* Founded in 2000, RDVO has grown into one of the top user experience design agencies in the Northeast.
