POSITION SUMMARY Interaction Designer-0800803 We are looking for an interaction designer for handheld device and PC user interfaces. You are passionate about design and prolific in creating totally engaging visual content. You design interactions and create user experiences with a meticulous focus on simplicity, elegance and refinement. You are extremely well versed (a master) in the tools of 2d graphics and illustrations as well as for 3d modeling and animation. You communicate your ideas and concepts effortlessly using storyboards, Flash simulations, prototypes and videos. The ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters are essential skills. You will work in a cross-functional team that includes engineers, marketing, product managers, as well as other designers. You will be responsible for presenting, refining and specifying the user interfaces designs and guidelines. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will posses: BA in either Human Factors/HCI, Industrial Design, Multimedia Design or related field. At least 3-5 years experience developing successfully web and/or software applications A skilled communicator comfortable with meetings and presentations. Exceptional understanding of user centered design methods and principles. Familiarity with field and lab-based usability research methodologies Ability to formulate and distill design rational and guidelines for their work. An appreciation of underlying technical requirements and constraints. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment. Advanced knowledge of graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and of 3d modeling, animation and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Flash, After effects.
