We had a notion over on the IRC channel about interfacing Twitter,
IRC, and the list... I'm interested to see if anybody would want to
try this. The idea was to establish the URL
http://ixda.org/chat
and have it redirect to wherever we carry on a real-time discussion,
currently
irc://irc.freenode.net/#ixda
So if you wanted to use Twitter to ask a question, and wanted to have
a discussion about it, you could tweet (or email) like this:
Need quick feedback on a design - http://ixda.org/chat
and a Twitter user who was interested in the discussion could just
click the link and end up at the IRC room. We'd use the ixda.org/chat
URL so if we decided to use Campfire or something else for chat, the
address would stay the same.
Apologies to all who may be getting tired of the Twitter / IRC
discussion, but who on the list manages the ixda.org Web site, and
would they be willing to set up that redirect so we could see how it
worked?
