Hello All!  We are currently looking for an Associate Creative Director
to join our Online Platform team.  The Associate Creative Director (ACD)
is an experienced design professional with a focus on the design of user
interfaces for web applications. Must have a demonstrated passion for
systematic design and use meticulous detail when applying patterns and
standards. This role entails taking wireframes from black and white
simplicity and delivers detail-rich, yet clean and simple interfaces
with a consistent user experience. Must be familiar with the UCD
process.  The ACD will assist the Creative Director in the definition of
program-level strategy, and manage the operations of an in-house design
team.

 

The ACD will assist the Creative Director in the definition of
program-level strategy, and manage the operations of an in-house design
team as follows:

 

*       Lead senior and junior visual designers with daily interaction
and review of work 
*       Participate in research, project meetings and strategic
presentations 
*       Schedule and allocate visual design staff as needed to ensure
that projects are meeting milestones with efficiency and quality 
*       Create visual design assets when needed to complete package
deliverables 
*       Collaborate with UX and Technology to develop concept demos,
site maps and user interaction models 
*       Attend meetings with UX members to learn and understand BA and
SME business requirements so that effective creative briefs can be
created 
*       Assist in the preparation of creative briefs with the Creative
Director to prepare the visual design staff for new projects 
*       Work closely with the Technology prototype team and presentation
layer developers to ensure the seamless translation of visual design
concepts to completed product

 

Specific responsibilities: 

 

*       Work closely with interaction designers to define standards and
provide input to the flows and wireframes    
*       Work closely with developers and vendors to ensure the adherence
of style guide standards   
*       Deliver visual design mockups along with very detailed specs
(layout rules, annotations, style guide references).    
*       Meet and respond to the challenges of a continually evolving
style guide.   
*       Analyze and translate usability research findings into design
improvements   
*       Create, evaluate, and modify visual prototypes to support
usability and development processes 
*       Design and optimize graphical assets, typography, iconography
and templates within the parameters of the general guidelines.   
*       Develops concepts supplied by senior creative personnel into
strategies and visual solutions for package deliverables  
*       Designs user interaction demos, concepts demos, multimedia
explorations and other creative solutions to develop projects within the
UX team   
*       Conducts color and photographic studies as needed to maintain
brand consistency   
*       Maintains constant evaluation of competitors online presentation
and looks for new ways to enhance the online experience for our
customers 
*       Does regular research across all industries to keep abreast of
the latest in visual design trends and interaction solutions   

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

*       Degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Industrial Design, Interface
Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, or equivalent level of
proven experience.   
*       Experience designing for web applications, ecommerce, or
transactional sites a plus   
*       Interactive agency or financial experience a plus   
*       Proven communication and organization skills; ability to work
well independently as well as in a team setting.    
*       Strong skills in rapid prototyping and iterative design using
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and/or additional creative tools.

*       Expert knowledge of interface design standards and best
practices 
*       An online portfolio of samples must be presented for review
