Hey all, Just a reminder - CogSci 2008 is in DC this July. For those that will also be attending - look me up, I will be there, of course. Here are the details:
CogSci 2008 is the annual meeting of the Cognitive Science Society<http://www.cognitivesciencesociety.org/>for basic and applied cognitive science research. We encourage researchers from around the world to submit their best work and to attend CogSci08 to hear about the latest theories and data from the world's best cognitive science researchers. Each year, in addition to submitted papers, we invite researchers to highlight some aspect of cognitive science. This year, we are highlighting *The Development and Decline of Cognitive Function<http://ccc.utexas.edu/cogsci08/theme.html> *. Finally, we are also celebrating the 30th Anniversary<http://ccc.utexas.edu/cogsci08/speakers.html>of CogSci with a special symposium. The co-chairs for this year's conference are Vladimir Sloutsky <http://cogdev.cog.ohio-state.edu/>, Brad Love<http://love.psy.utexas.edu/%7Elove/>, and Ken McRae <http://psychology.uwo.ca/faculty/mcrae_res.htm>. The conference will be held in Washington, D.C. at the beautiful and newly renovated Omni Shoreham Hotel<http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/WashingtonDCShoreham/MeetingFacilities/CognitiveScienceSociety7.aspx>, July 23 - 26. Since 1930, the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. has played host to presidents, world leaders, and inaugural balls, making it a truly historic Washington landmark. This grand luxury hotel is nestled on 11 acres in picturesque Rock Creek Park in northwest Washington, D.C., and is only steps away from the National Zoo, numerous other attractions, a plethora of restaurants, and the metrorail. -- ~ will "Where you innovate, how you innovate, and what you innovate are design problems" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will Evans | User Experience Architect tel +1.617.281.1281 | [EMAIL PROTECTED] twitter: https://twitter.com/semanticwill --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)!
