Hi fellow IxDAers, we are ribot: a crack commando unit of ideas people, based in central Brighton, UK, who focus on creating innovative User Interfaces (UI) for mobile.
We're growing, working directly with some great clients, like Nokia, Microsoft, the Labs teams at Orange & Lastminute.com, and Rough Guides, to name just a few... Ribot was set up to explore the boundaries of small screen UI and user experiences. Our passions lie in creating innovative simple-to-use interfaces that excite and inspire the very people who use them. We look forward to seeing your juicy portfolio. We're looking for a passionate senior designer, to help us create lovingly-designed small-screen user interfaces. The more ideas and energy you have, the better. We need someone who's extremely tuned-in to what's required for a good user experience. The successful candidate will be working on a number of high-profile projects, so we're looking for someone who is organised, and feels at home working both independently and in a close team. You'll be required to create visual concepts and tangible manifestations of experiences (such as prototypes), and establish / manage visual UI libraries for the ribot team to use / reuse. *Basically, we'd really like to hear from you if you have:* - Solid interface design expertise (5+ years minimum) - A strong passion for creating innovative & useable UIs - An ability to create the highest quality of screen design concepts (your portfolio should be to die for) - Design-related degree / equivalent work experience - Sketching & hand-drawn concept skills - Strong people and problem-solving skills - Plenty of ideas, energy and rip-snorting initiative *Here's a list of the kind of stuff you'll be responsible for:* - Screen design concepts - Conceptual UI models - User interface strategy and future vision - Visual UI component library - Detailed user interface specifications, clearly communicating proposed concepts to other parties - Personas, scenarios and storyboards - Interaction flows and user journeys The ideal candidate can expect to be offered a respectable salary of between * £28,000 - £32,000* per year, as well as a yearly training budget of *£1000 *.
