There is the mex conference on the consumer side. They do a very good blog about mobile experience design.
SmallSurfaces by Gabriel White is one of the best blogs out there. Engadget Mobile and Gizmodo are great sources I rely on for intelligence of the mostly consumer market. I do have to say though that FEW people cover the enterprise or the industrial mobile markets or trends at all. I have not seen anything on design, but lots on IT and Technology out there. I also think it is important to include the Touch (NFC) initiative and the NUI (gestures) initiatives as well. Lastly, when it comes to covering trends in mobile, Go to Japan & Korea. And do both. Japan alone won't give you a complete picture. These 2 countries are SOOOOO far ahead when it comes to enculturing mobile technologies at deep levels that it just can't be ignored. I know you were looking for a good excuse for a 14hr. flight, right? -- dave . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
