It all depends on what the task manager looks like. With proper styling
and design, the task manager could be made very friendly, listing pages
/ processes in nice, readable fonts, with some friendly iconography and
a message that clearly denotes "this one is working, this one is not,
and you can fix it easily" etc.
Has anyone actually found how to access the task manager in Chrome
yet? I've been running it all day with about 10 tabs open on various
sites trying to crash it. No luck so far. I want to see the "sad tab".
Maybe it's the developer in me, but I found it right away. To access the
/Google Chrome Task Manager/, select
Control the current page > Developer > Task manager
from the dropdown menu in the upper right. A little Google Chrome Task
Manager opens up in a pop-up window. Nothing happens in an actual
tabbed browser window until you click on the "Stats for nerds link" in
the pop-up.
The real meet and potatoes is available though by selecting the '"View
Source" option under "Developer." Formatting and scripting all built
into one page, with extensive commenting toward the bottom. And yes,
numbered lines!
