Hello all, I have been lurking for a while, taking in all the good info, and now I have a question that I hope you can help me with.
I am looking for customizable, off-the-shelf software to do an animated, data-driven, hierarchy map. One of those maps where, when you click on a node, they all move and scale; the selected node becomes central and the other nodes arrange themselves around it. I'd also like to be able to expand nodes without losing sight of the entire structure--these are finite maps we are working with (The Brain is close to what I'm looking for, but it collapses nodes too easily and doesn't provide an easy view of the overall structure. I also don't know if it can be hooked up to a database and customized.) I've seem maps like this now and again, but can't for the life of me remember where, and my research is turning up very little--I may be using wrong terminology. I've looked for animated maps, bubble maps, tree maps, hierarchy maps, data maps... and combinations thereof. Any leads or suggetions would be geatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Lauren . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
