I'd love to get something going here in Vancouver, BC as well. We're lucky enough to be holding the Interaction09 coming up in Feb, but I'm sure we've got enough people here in this busy hub to arrange some monthly or bimonthly get togethers. There are plenty of venues that would be receptive to the idea.
