Hi Jenn, I bought an Olympus DS-30 about a year ago and I really like it. It has a USB connector, records in .wma format but you can download some free apps to convert it to another file format if you'd like, it has 5 different folders to record into and I like the sound quality. About a $100 but I'd look it up to be sure. It's also very compact.
