Hello Everyone,
I hope I am posting it in the right place, if not kindly forgive.
I am new to this forum and I would like some suggestions on what course
would be the most effective one for me.
I am an computer science engineering graduate and I am currently working as
a speech IVR Developer for more than a year with a total of 4 yrs of
experience in contact center/ IVR/CTI technology. Working on speech
development has interested me to further my career in that direction and i
would like to get into Voice user interface(VUI) design as the next step.
Since i work closely with our VUI designer and also participate in low level
design decisions, I can somewhat foresee what a designer's job would be
like. I would like to get a formal course training, preferably a masters
degree and by research i found that a masters in HCI came close to what
exactly I had in mind.
I would also like to do some volunteering work in the same area, if there is
any , so that I can get hands-on experience and also understand much better
as to what exactly the course would give me.
Could you please suggest if courses in HCI would help me and what other
streams could i pursue.
I have some free morning hours and would like to devote them to volunteering
in the same area. I currently live in Arlington, VA.
Any help is most welcome.
Thank you very much
I hope I could contribute well to the forum too.

Thanks
Tilly
