This isn't right. Please don't reply directly to digest e-mails;
you'll get the wrong address and your reply won't make it to the
discussion list. The new thread digests come from a separate digest
address, specifically to prevent the problems Dave mentions in 2) and
3) above.

Digest e-mails come with a direct link to the precise thread on the
ixda.org website, so you can exercise the second option Dave mentions
and reply via the web.

Only reply by e-mail to a digest if you want to follow that
particular thread. Reply with the word "follow" to subscribe to
followup digests for that thread and reply with "cancel" to stop
following.

Otherwise, replies to digest [at] ixda.org are treated as help
requests and forwarded to tech support. These are rare.
