Digest e-mails come with a direct link to the precise thread on the ixda.org website, so you can exercise the second option Dave mentions and reply via the web. Only reply by e-mail to a digest if you want to follow that particular thread. Reply with the word "follow" to subscribe to followup digests for that thread and reply with "cancel" to stop following.
