The Microsoft Windows User Experience team is seeking exceptional User Experience Lead to make the personal computer more powerful, engaging, and rewarding to use. We're looking for a design leader, someone who can invent, drive and inspire great design. We want a leader who has the vision, skills and intelligence to influence the course of the world's most used products - Windows and Internet Explorer. You'll be working with the best developers, designers and UX researchers dedicated to revolutionizing software interaction design. You need to love software, and exude passion for great design. As a UX Lead, you will help set the vision for the user experience, serving as a user advocate to ensure the highest level of usability, desirability and customer satisfaction. You will design and prototype product experiences that meet demanding quality standards. You will drive your work through the software development process. You will collaborate with teams across the company to ensure we maintain industry leadership, delivering innovative, exciting and emotionally engaging products. Qualifications include a 4-year degree in industrial design, interaction design, or related field, plus 5-7 years of industry experience developing software products for large markets. Industry experience in developing software or web products for large markets is preferred. We like to see a proven ability to articulate ideas through high fidelity prototypes. You should be an excellent communicator, presenter, and show experience applying user research throughout the design process. You like to look under the hood and aren't afraid to dabble with AJAX, CSS, C# or other scripting languages. Expert knowledge of major multimedia, design, and operating system software (Photoshop, Flash or Director, Windows, Office) is expected.
