We are working with a client on a product with multiple data views and
one is this sort of semi-tabular one, but we're having a hard time
finding past references or conventions around labeling this view. One
example of this is a search result view from LinkedIn - http://skitch.com/mdconrad/s5gp/linkedin-people-search-results-2
In a way, it's nested data (I believe Tidwell's book refers to this a
"tree table") but in these cases, the data is no collapsable so it's
not truly a "tree".
Anyone have insight into an appropriate name for displaying data in
tabular rows which are divided into sub-columns?
Much thanks
David
