Hello All
I have a question about browser text zoom. While designing web-sites it is
recommended to set font size in em or %. Now, when I visited three sites:
1. bbc.com
2. flickr
3. http://www.456bereastreet.com/about/

I tested on Chrome, IE and Firefox. Used ctrl (+) or ctrl (-) to change
zoom. Firefox handled all the sites elegantly as it zooms the site like an
image, irrespective of whether font-size are set in px, em or %.

BBC did well only in Firefox. In other broswers, the text enlarged without
containers' expansion.
Flickr did well in all the three browser on keystrokes. To my surprise,
flickr is designed with tables which is not the best practice.
456bereastreet did well in chrome, but failed in IE very badly.

Is there a best practice to handle text zoom and its containing blocks?

I couldn't find discussion on this topic in IxDA archive. If already dealt
with, I would appreciate anyone directing me to the conversation.

Thanks in advance.
Abhishek
