Brooke, thanks for the words, as you said Office pack(Word + Excel) would be typical in text editing and graphs. but I am searching for others. actually, I am about to know which text editing or graph softwares would have what capabilities? and for example which softwares offer extra unique features? I know its a bit holistic view and even evaluation of choosing one as the best would be tricky and difficult. but in the end best softwares categorized in different capabilities would be used in the process of Design. e.g. in some stage of this process, some will be used in Presentation, some will be used in Stylizing texts, some in "Copy & Paste"-ing different text into different softwares - graphic/modeling ones, ... is there any site/reference evaluating softwares based on some specified criteria?
