Job Description:
Makeover Solutions, one of the leading consumer beauty Internet sites, is 
seeking an Information Architect to participate in the re-branding and 
re-design of our site and online applications. We have a position for a 
candidate that has experience in content-rich sites and transactional online 
experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for re-structuring 
existing application features and functionality, working with a team on new 
functionality, innovating web 2.0 interaction design, involved in usability 
testing and site optimization.

Makeover Solutions, Inc. is a digital, web-based business focused on the 
women's beauty and health care sector offering a rich and highly interactive 
site experience centered around women "try on" of cosmetic products, hair do's 
and accessories. In addition, the site offers a wide array of editorial and 
community tools that engage women in conversation, permit rating of each 
other's new look and tracking relevant editorial content that makes for a 
positive and engaging community experience.

Following are the job's responsibilities required:
Developing thorough, realistic plans that support site objectivesWork with the 
internal team to understand our business models and goals and help define site 
strategy, content, and features for design of the siteAnalyze audiences and 
their information and functional needsDefine site architecture and navigation 
that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are 
builtCreate wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, 
working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user 
experienceOnce user experience is agreed upon, create use cases and business 
rules documentation

Experience:
3-5 years of IA/Human Factors work experienceLeading the User Experience for 
online transactional and content rich sites and preferably consumer-focused 
brandsExperience working on large, complex transactional sites and/or online 
applicationsExperience observing user research and translating user research 
into design decisions
Skills:
Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design (HCI, 
HTML, CSS)Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and 
methodologyWorking knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and 
PracticesExceptional communication skillsGood leadership and interpersonal 
skillsDetail-orientedComfortable in a fast-pace environmentKnowledge of 
architecture-related software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, 
OmniGraffle, Acrobat, Fireworks, MS Office, Dreamweaver, Flash)
