What *doesn't* make sense is that the haven't just provided the user with the ability to set the three or four colours themselves and generate a stylesheet from those settings.
Technically it isn't a big step, so why put out the half-assed version where I get to choose from a limited set of themes that may (or probably don't) appeal to me?
