The User Experience and Design group at our client company is setting the design direction and corporate UI standards for a wide range of advanced, UCD research methods development, and product design. We are seeking creative individuals with experience in Interaction Design, and Information Architecture. You will design GUIs and define GUI standards based on user research, market and sales drivers, business requirements, and technical requirements. You will conceptualize and create designs, prototypes, and specifications to inform and guide development efforts on new features and products. Specific responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day Interaction Design activities o Create simple but elegant visual designs and interaction models that allow users to understand and manage large amount of complex information o Develop prototypes, storyboards, screen-flow diagrams wireframes, prototypes, page mock-ups and written text content to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas o Participate actively in user research and usability testing • Develop, document and maintain design requirements for new products and all products enhancements. • Understand and lead the analysis of the competitive environment, customers, and product metrics to determine the right feature set to drive engagement and usage • Prepare all documentation in preparation for delivering a business case for design features to management. • Manage & oversee the launch of new major design features/enhancements with all functional organizations • Maintain competitive analysis information and report on key competitive trends and changes. • Help with the evaluation of new product opportunities through market sizing analyses. • Develop, manage and maintain key programs for the field sales force, specifically: o Competitive Analysis o Demos • Support the direct sales field organization via: o Product expertise o Proposals o Customer research • Work closely with engineering and product management team members to ensure execution of design requirements • Mentor junior staff by providing design guidance and project support In executing these responsibilities, he/she will have strong experience in product design Requirements: • 5+ years successful experience in user interaction and web design • Bachelors or other degree in human factors, graphic design or related field • Experience designing Web 2.0 applications desired • Experience in rapid and iterative design and development processes • Extensive knowledge and capabilities with HTML, CSS, and AJAX/JavaScript • Knowledge of major multimedia, design, and operating system software (Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks and Illustrator) • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure, with good humor and a strong sense of team • Innate passion for customer satisfaction, and desire to have a significant and lasting impact on the online world • Ability to execute – take action and bring projects to a timely closure • Positive attitude • Excellent work ethic - highly professional, specifically in his/her relationships with all key stakeholders • Ability to demonstrate "clarity of thought" at all times and within all types of communications • Strong organization, planning & analysis skills • Excellent presentation skills Experience within the financial services and or payments industry is a PLUS Must be willing to travel 15-25% of the time.
