I use msn Messenger to connect with my project team mates, so we can update one another or bounce ideas off each other. I started using it years ago while freelancing as it was a great way to create a virtual office with other freelancers in the team. But I found it very useful still working in an office environment.
I'm now using linkedin and twitter too. They are both social networking environments through which I have rekindled old friendships and made new connections. Linked in provides a host of facilities, allowing me to be part of a community. The Q&A section is a great place to share knowledge and learn from others. That is where questions like the one you posted here gets answered by folks in the linkedin community. I'm still very new to twitter. Although I didn't like the idea when it first started as it was just people twittering about what they were doing in their personal lives. But it has since matured a bit more now, and it is a great place to meet like-minded individuals, share ideas, gather views, and to learn from others. I search for tweets relevant to my interests and it has been a good source of inspiration for my most recent projects. You can have a look at this article on twittering - http://www.twitip.com/benefits-twitter/#more-605 Hope this helps. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
