Veena - There are two major certifying organizations in the field of human factors:
-Human Factors International (HFI) as you mentioned. They are a for-profit organization and tend to be Web/UI focused. -Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE). This is a non-profit, professional certifying organization that encompasses a wide range of human factors and ergonomics skills (including Web).
