First Vancouver IxDA event of 2009 is lined up! We've got a private tour at the Vancouver Port Authority Interpretive Center!
The Center is a few years old now, and it is one of the first examples in this city of an attempt at such an undertaking. We will hear, in their words, their vision of the desired result, the challenges they faced, and see how well the installation has aged. It's a great opportunity for us to all participate in a real-world design challenge and then get together afterwords to debrief on the experience and brainstorm about potential redesign ideas. Don't worry, we're not working for the Port on this and are not on the hook for feedback. We're aiming for interesting real world use cases that make it easy for everyone to participate. After touring the Center, we'll head to Steamworks for some brunch and discussion. RSVP please so that we can get an approximate head count. Looking forward to seeing you there!
