Calgary UX is kicking off 2009 with a user experience show-and-tell. We have 4 speakers lined up who will be sharing their thoughts, ideas, approaches, methodologies and deliverables that have helped them create great user experiences with their clients. Come out and see what others are doing and meet some of the local UX community. Interactive Prototypes Scott Anderson will discuss prototyping and testing strategies for an interface currently in development. This is very much a work in progress, so feedback is welcome. Scott Anderson is a Senior User Experience Architect with UX Guys. Previously he was an Information Architect with Critical Mass. Sketching User Experience with Clients Scott Baldwin will talk about leveraging pen & paper sketching to involve your clients in your user experience planning. Scott Baldwin is a User Experience Consultant at Habañero Consulting Group. An experienced Internet strategist and web analyst, Scott helps clients maximize the user experience of solutions in order to increase sales, brand loyalty, and productivity. Rapid Design Labs Dave Robertson will share his experience working with rapid design labs. Dave Robertson is a Senior User Experience professional with ThoughtWorks. As a student of Agile, he sees the commitment to iteration as an opportunity to accelerate the optimization process that any excellent user experience must go through. Creating a User Experience Culture Gene Smith will share some thoughts on how nForm cultivates a user experience mindset in their company and with their clients. Gene Smith is the President of nForm, an Edmonton-based user experience consulting firm and advises clients on interface design, information architecture, website planning and management, and interactive strategy. He is also the author of Tagging: People-Powered Metadata for the Social Web (2008, New Riders), which covers the structure, design and management of tagging systems (and delves into other social software topics as well). ..............................
