To support this goal, Mercer seeks a Freelance Visual Designer/Developer to undertake: Idea generation -- Identification of “quick win” enhancements to add pop to the current site through creation of new design elements Visual redesign of prioritized current core elements – create wireframes and generate dialog within the marketing community Creation of new functionality interfaces – create and test with end-users This role will mandate advanced skills in web and interactive design along with a working knowledge of Ajax, Flash component development and CSS development and application. This role will require playing a coordinating role in the execution of visual design projects. The goal of this initiative is to continuously release improvements upon isolated areas of the site, rather than to re-launch in a “big-bang” style. Consistent visual improvement is vital to justifying this position. Project logistics Duration: Approximately 3-6 months. Working Hours: To vary based on need, but to range from 20-40 hours per week. Location: Ideally Hoboken or NYC with availability to commute to Hoboken as needed; other arrangements considered for the right candidate.
