Andrei, I agree that the artifacts are as important to acknowledge as the individuals who created them. I like the timeline approach for that reason. It's a way to aggregate the artifacts; such as applications, components, and publications - and the people that created them in a format that illustrates how each built on what came before. Since all entries can presumably be cross linked it allows one to follow whatever thread of connection catches one's interest.
