I would take this question in a different direction...would you only use this
space for "UT", or could it also become a hub for ideation, collaborative
design, testing and evaluating equipment or software, etc.? That's what we've
done with our space; over the course of a month, we might run tests 10% of the
time, but otherwise this room is our design lab, with loads of whiteboards,
paper and pens, sticky notes, our only Mac (don't laugh, it was hard to get
even that!), and all of the various software that we evaluate or have only one
copy of. We're also looking to add additional testing capabilities, including
eye-tracking (I know many disdain eye-tracking, but that's a subject for a
different post).

The key here is to make the most use of the facilities you have; this serves
you and your organization well.

Subject: [IxDA Discuss] Any new ideas about UT lab?

Hi guys! I am currently in charge of planning the set up of a new UT
lab within 2009 and run it after the set up, finially develop to a
whole Ixd center.
Anyone have any ideas about arranging and run a Ixd center? Or any
ideas about your current design center?
I would be very much appreciated for your advices! Thanks!
