Maybe a little bit off-topic: May I ask what are your main reasons to
settle exclusively on Drupal? I recently talked with a friend of mine
who had his main business site (a large German music platform &
community) recently relaunched based on Drupal. Which turned out to be
significantly harder and tedious than expected, even though the agency
claims to have rock solid experience with Drupal. As far as I can
recall, some of the harder challenges during the relaunch seemed to be
rooted in Drupal's architecture, e.g. customisation of and interfacing
between different required modules, whilst throwing out all the other
stuff which was superfluous for the purpose.

Have you considered other possible platform-building alternatives like
e.g. Pinax (based on Django) or elgg, which might carry somehow less
cruft & co. and hence be possibly easier to build/configure and
maintain?

(Sorry if I am a little bit late with those remarks or overlooked an
earlier discussion on this subject.)

Cheers,

Sascha
