We are looking for an information architect to research, define and craft the usability of our dynamic interactive projects. Working in the user experience team, this person will work closely with our strategy and creative groups develop the architecture of web sites and other digital projects. This is a fulltime, onsite position at an awardwinning company with a passion for smart design and fulfilling user experiences. Ai is located in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, in a bright, cheerful office complete with game room and dog. The ideal candidate will have a passion for finding optimal solutions to design challenges. IAs participate in usability research, stakeholder interviews, and competitive reviews; define personas and use cases; and create site maps, annotated wireframes and functional specifications. Key responsibilities: * Discover and prioritize client business requirements and functional needs * Generate structural deliverables including sitemaps, workflows and UI sketches * Generate written deliverables including user stories, personas, and content inventories * Design, iterate and finalize detailed, annotated wireframes * Collaborate with clients and internal teams to produce user-centric, technically feasible deliverables Skills/qualifications: * 3+ years experience architecting a range of projects * Proficiency in Visio or OmniGraffle; ability to prototype concepts in HTML a plus * Understanding of UI patterns, user-centric design, and UX best practices * Ability to devise solutions to interface problems and to articulate differences in usage, complexity, and philosophy * Experience designing ecommerce and content-based interfaces * Comfortable presenting work and justifying strategic decisions To apply, send a resume and cover letter indicating relevant experience, notable projects, and salary requirements to [email protected].
