My choice depends upon the work. For coding complicated stuff or really working on interaction, then silence is best for me. Rock music does the job when I want some ideas (paper prototypes / loose concepts), classical (esp Bach) for putting things together (wireframing), stuff like Sylvian or later Talk Talk / Mark Hollis for artistic stuffs (high fidelity prototypes).
