Dear List

I am doing some research on the different strategies companies are
using to iterate the design of online services after they have been
released - in beta or otherwise. Specifically how are they taking
feedback from users (in use) to inform those iterations and changes
to design.

Sort of in the vein of Josh Porter's article on Netflix here
http://www.uie.com/articles/fast_iterations/

I would really appreciate any pointers to
examples/articles/posts/papers/books that provide insight into how
different companies are approaching this i.e how organisations are
monitoring use, or taking explicit feedback and then using that to
inform future design iterations. It might be through specific beta
phases, or just as part of the ongoing strategy of evolving the
product. Personally I am particularly interested in
socialmedia/software sites, but not strictly limited to that.

Huge thanks in advance

Penny
